CASA would like to thank our sponsors, models, clothing vendors and attendees for making our 3rd annual Holidays of Hope for Kids Extravaganza a huge success! Over 330 people attended the event bidding on 13 trees and enjoying a beautiful style show hosted by five area children's clothing stores. The luncheon was a festive way to kick off the holiday season and more than $19,000 was raised to train volunteers to be the voice for abused and neglected children across the South Plains.

In the Lubbock region in 2006

• an average of 72 children were removed from their homes and placed in foster care,

• every month an average of 338 new victims of child abuse were confirmed,

• every month an average of 1474 Lubbock area children were in foster care.
