CASA volunteers are required to receive 12 hours of in service training for each 12 month period they volunteer beginning from the date they are sworn in.

This is a National CASA requirement to promote an atmosphere of continued learning so that our volunteers can be at their most effective when dealing with the complex issues they face.

In an effort to help you locate resources for fulfilling this obligation, the following links provide access to web pages listing internet resources, books and a list of DVD's we have in our local CASA office for you to borrow.

We will also list here any community workshops, conferences or presentations we hear of or any upcoming in service trainings CASA has arranged.

If you are aware of any additional resources, please let our Training & Recruitment Director Peggy Espinoza-Horn know so we can list them on the website.

Here is an Adobe version of the In Service Training Sheet to download and use to record your additional training. Training Sheets are also available in the CASA office. In Service Training Sheets can be turned into the office with your volunteer case logs.

(Some documents require the Adobe Acrobat Reader,

available for free download)

If you have any questions or issues to discuss, please contact Peggy Espinoza-Horn at 806-763-2272

or peggye@lubbockcasa.org.
