Volunteer Round Up
The CASA of the South Plains Volunteer Round Up is simply a year-long volunteer recruitment campaign. That is, volunteers recruiting volunteers. Our goal is to double the number of current volunteers and this can easily be achieved if EACH active volunteer recruits ONE volunteer. More volunteers means more foster children in our community have a powerful voice. In addition to providing more CASAs for our children here in on the South Plains, there are also other incentives.
There are 6 CASA regions in Texas and all 6 regions will compete against each other to have the largest volunteer percentage increase by August 31, 2009. The winning region will share a grand prize of $20,000 cash to be used exclusively and directly for our children to purchase items that the system does not provide such as: class rings, senior pictures, prom attire, test registration fees, summer camp, etc. There will also be a prize at the program level for the program with the highest increase (Prize TBD).
CASA of the South Plains will also be handing out prizes at the local level for volunteers only. The first 25 volunteers to recruit someone who completes training, is sworn in, and has a case assigned, will receive a $20 gift card.
